Loader Operator
Overview :
Arresting You Ltd. offers training for operators of rig specific rough terrain articulating loaders.
The Program addresses legislated requirements from:
- Alberta OHS Part 19, Powered Mobile Equipment
- Alberta OHS Regulation 15, Safety Training
The syllabus of the program is based on:
- CAN/CSA B-335-04 Safety Standard for Lift Trucks.
- Manufacturers Operating and Maintenance Guidelines
The program is held at a client’s location and uses the client’s equipment for training.
Specific topics include:
- Inspection, Maintenance and Basic Operations of a 4 wheeled rough terrain front end loader/lift truck.
- Attachments and their purpose. (pallet forks, dirt bucket, grapple forks, material handling arm)
- Operational Hazard Assessment
- Basic “below the hook” rigging practices and Safety Procedures
The 50/50 Theory/Practical training program is accomplished in 6-8 hours. The program is limited to a minimum of 10 and maximum of 12 participants.
A theory exam (pass mark 70%) and a hands-on skills evaluation (Pass/Fail) ensures that the candidate has the knowledge and has demonstrated the basic skill to operate a specific type of loader. The Arresting You Ltd. Certificate is valid for 3 years.
The cost of the Program is $150.00 per participant plus travel charges and subsistence for the Instructor.
