Frank Murray
In 1983 Frank was seriously injured in a work-related fall. Instead of focusing on the negative, Frank took this misfortune and turned it into something positive. With the encouragement of his employer and supportive safety mentor Frank forged a successful career as a Safety & Training Coordinator.
In view of Frank's history it is easy to understand why he has always had a special interest in Fall Prevention. Choosing to expand his knowledge Frank spent 2 years in the early 1990's working directly with a manufacturer of all lines of fall protection and rescue equipment. During this time Frank trained thousands of men throughout the United States in Worker Fall Protection.
In 1994 Frank established Arresting You Ltd. Through hard work and a strong belief in providing reasonable solutions to safety issues Frank & his staff have become the leaders in Worker Fall Protection, Industrial Rescue Techniques, Confined Space Programs and have pioneered the Safetywatch Technician Program for safety on plant turnarounds.
Frank actively sits on a number of industry committees. He has openly shared his knowledge with industry and government in the hope that by increasing the accessibility of safety resources and knowledge it will translate into a safer work environment for all workers.
Frank recently received the inaugural Special Merit Award from the Canadian Safety Petroleum Council in recognition for his outstanding contribution to improving the safety of petroleum industry workers.
